About the Society

The Sahyadri Botanical Society, Kolhapur India is a scientific association dedicated to promoting botanical knowledge, biodiversity conservation and environmental awareness. The society was established with the aim of development interest in Botany and Forestry through research, education and community engagement.

The society regularly organizes programs and activities related to biodiversity, environmental conservation, tree plantation and forest preservation. To nurture curiosity and research aptitude among students, it conducts lectures, exhibitions, workshops, study tours and field visits. various competitions such as debates, quizzes and environmental contests are also held to encourage student participation and creativity.

The Sahyadri Botanical Society also undertakes the publication of scientific and educational materials including books, journals and research papers related to Botany and allied subjects. It provides a platform for scholars and researchers to exchange ideas through seminars, symposia and conferences at international, national and regional levels.

In addition to its academic activities, the society promotes environmental awareness among the general public, honours individuals contributing significantly to plant science and conservation and supports new researchers through guidance and recognition. It also disseminates information about various government schemes related to research and helps members and students avail of their benefits.

Through these initiatives, the Sahyadri Botanical Society strives to create a vibrant network of botanists, researchers, educators and environmentalists dedicated to advancing plant science and sustainable development.

About Next Botany

Next Botany is an open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to inspiring research and innovation in the fields of plant science, phytochemistry, ethnobotany and pharmacology. The journal provides a global platform for researchers, academicians and students to publish high-quality original research articles, reviews and short communications that contribute to the understanding and advancement of botanical sciences.

Next Botany is currently under the Sahyadri Botanical Society, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India. We welcome studies addressing the chemical, biological, ecological and pharmacological aspects of plants, with special emphasis on Endemic, medicinal, economically and industrially important plant species.

At present, the journal does not charge any Article Publication Fee (Free) for publishing accepted manuscripts.

The journal is published quarterly (every three months) and maintains a peer-review process to ensure the publication of authentic and impactful scientific content. By offering unrestricted access to its articles, Next Botany aims to enhance the visibility, accessibility and citation of published research worldwide.
